Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Bad Dave and Bad Dave’s School of Arts & Crafts. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our services, including art classes, workshops, and the sale of art products (kits, original artworks, and prints). By engaging with our services or purchasing from us, you agree to these Terms.
1. Introduction
Bad Dave (“we,” “our,” or “us”) offers art classes and workshops under the name “Bad Dave’s School of Arts & Crafts” and sells products under “Bad Dave.” These Terms apply to all customers, students, and website users.
2. Definitions
- Services: Art classes, workshops, and products offered by Bad Dave.
- Products: Art kits, original artworks, prints and other products available for purchase.
- Customer: Anyone purchasing products or services from Bad Dave.
- Student: Anyone attending classes or workshops at Bad Dave’s School of Arts & Crafts.
3. Scope of Services
We provide:
- Art classes and workshops (in-person and online).
- Sale of art kits, original artworks, prints and other products.
- Custom artwork commissions.
4. Registration and Enrolment
- Applicable for classes and workshops.
- Our classes are listed, and tickets must be purchased through, Eventbrite. This provides Bad Dave with a broad platform to advertise and reach students.
- When you buy a ticket Bad Dave covers Eventbrite’s listing fees so there is no extra cost to you.
- When creating an Eventbrite account, please provide accurate information so Bad Dave can contact you and communicate effectively about your course.
- Classes may have age restrictions, specific skill levels or material requirements all of which will be communicated in the class listing.
4.1 Age Policy / Children
- Bad Dave caters for adult students only at this time.
- Children 15 years and over can attend only if accompanied by a parent or legal guardian who will require a ticket of their own.
- Because of GDPR laws tickets must be bought by an adult.
- Transfers of a ticket from an adult to a minor still require the minor to be accompanied by a parent of legal guardian who also has a ticket, and all items as stated in Bad Dave’s Transfer Policy still apply.
5. Pricing and Payment Terms (Does not apply to Eventbrite classes & workshops)
- Applicable for kits, original artwork, prints and printed products and commissions.
- All prices are listed in GBP (£) and include applicable taxes and fees unless otherwise stated.
- Payment for kits, original artwork, prints and printed products is due at the time of purchase.
- Payment for commissions will be a 50% deposit, 25% on final review, 25% at handover.
- Accepted payment methods include cash, bank transfer, and credit card.
- Additional costs, such as material fees or shipping charges, will be outlined prior to purchase or enrolment.
6. Cancellations and Refunds
Classes and Workshops:
- Cancellations must be completed through Eventbrite
- Refunds will be accepted no less than 7 (seven) days before a course starts.
- Refunds will be processes without Eventbrite’s course fees.
- No refunds are given for missed classes.
Classes & Workshops Transfers
- Transfers will only be accepted if agreed by Bad Dave and confirmed in writing between Bad Dave and the original student up to 48 hours before the course starts. The original student will need to provide the new student’s email for effective communication.
- Bad Dave will supply the new student with the GDPR link for their review and ability to to opt out of having their details retained for marketing purposes.
- If a transfer is agreed, the new student will be required to adhere to Bad Dave’s policies and processes.
- Transfers can only be made to a minor (15+) as long as their parent/guardian already has or can obtain a ticket for the same class.
- All agreed transfers require the ticket holder and their replacement to agree the price and exchange monies between those two parties only. Bad Dave does not get involved in the transfer of monies and retains the original payment in full.
REFUNDS (Products)
- Returns of non-custom products are accepted within 14 days of receipt, provided they are in original and re-saleable condition.
- Custom or commissioned artworks are non-refundable.
- Refunds or replacements for damaged or faulty products will be processed upon receipt of photographic evidence.
- Refunds will be processed through the original method of payment, exceptions are for products bought in person where Bad Dave and the customer will liaise to agree a solution.

7. Intellectual Property
- All artwork and content created by Bad Dave remain our intellectual property unless explicitly transferred in writing.
- Students may not reproduce or sell works created during classes for commercial purposes without written consent.
- No part of our online content or resources may be copied, distributed, or used for commercial purposes without permission.
8. Code of Conduct
- Students are expected to behave respectfully towards instructors and peers.
- Disruptive or inappropriate behaviour may result in removal from the class without a refund.
9. Health and Safety
- Students participating in in-person classes are required to follow all safety instructions.
- Liability waivers may be required for activities involving sharp tools, chemicals, or other potential hazards.
10. Online Classes and Digital Content
- Access to online classes and materials is non-transferable.
- Classes may be recorded for quality and training purposes; prior notice will be given.
- Students are prohibited from recording or redistributing any digital content.
- Intellectual Property rules also apply.
11. Delivery of Products
- Products will be dispatched within the timeframe specified at the time of purchase.
- We are not responsible for delays caused by third-party couriers.
- Any damage or loss during transit must be reported within 7 days of delivery.
12. Liability Disclaimer
- We are not liable for personal injury sustained during in-person classes unless caused by our negligence.
- We are not responsible for dissatisfaction with commissioned artwork.
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to our website or online services.
13. Privacy Policy
- We collect personal data to process bookings, purchases, and improve our services.
- Your data will not be shared with third parties without your consent, except as required by law.

14. Force Majeure
- We are not responsible for delays or cancellations caused by events beyond our control, such as natural disasters, pandemics, or government restrictions including not limited to weather warnings.
15. Amendments to Terms
- We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Changes will be communicated via our website or email.
16. Governing Law
- These Terms are governed by English law. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.
