A depiction of a tattoo from the Siberian Ice Maiden (Princess of Ukok, 5th Century BC) who was found with her two warriors by her side. The tattoos are widely regarded as being some of the best preserved, ancient tattoos ever discovered. Here they are enhanced in Bad Dave style.

Well, I think it's a Mule Colt, it didn't come with a label so I took a view and figured that 'mule' could apply particularly seeing as the oldest mules discovered date back to 3000 BC so it's a viable possibility!
Another tattoo from the second warrior buried with Princess Ukok. It's been adapted slightly to make the image easier to interpret and pair with the Filly image in this series. This one really made me understand the deep observation skills the original tattoo artist had, the curves of the spine where it meets the rump, the tiny little fetlocks above its hooves...they really understood the shape and form of their subjects; it was a humbling and wonderful lesson.
