A depiction of a tattoo from the Siberian Ice Maiden (Princess of Ukok, 5th Century BC) who was found with her two warriors by her side. The tattoos are widely regarded as being some of the best preserved, ancient tattoos ever discovered. Here they are enhanced in Bad Dave style.

Bad Dave Says

This was a tough one. It took a while (and a couple of drafts) to find the right marks and textures for this beastie. Once the patterns had found themselves I could sit back and let the other elements emerge, what type of shading went where, where the tiny little flowers fitted in. I love that it looks like the big cat is chasing the flowers and finding time for playfulness, we're just waiting to see him pounce on the petals with his massive paws (yes, Bad Dave is a cat person...)
