A depiction of a tattoo from the Siberian Ice Maiden (Princess of Ukok, 5th Century BC) who was found with her two warriors by her side. The tattoos are widely regarded as being some of the best preserved, ancient tattoos ever discovered. Here they are enhanced in Bad Dave style and available in a variety of formats

This is probably the most famous if Princess Ukok's tattoos and for good reason. Not only was it the most complete but it was also the loveliest. It was the tattoo that led this series of work being produced. 

As much as I loved it, tattoos are still seen by many as a divider in society. The mare tattoo itself was straightforward, simple, rustic...almost masculine in execution. I feel there is beauty in everything depending on the lens you use and I wanted the update the Mare to a more accessible, but still tattoo relevant, piece of work. She's still beautiful as well as being good for everyday use for everyone. She is definitely one of my favourites!
